This is not Brady Canyon, but turn around from the Adobe Plaza & the road to Brady Canyon will be right there. I am heartsick over the damage in beautiful Ruidoso, but would really like to see what happened up Brady. I have heard it’s bad & houses lost.

The Adobe has been there since I was a kid. I remember and loved the Deck house restaurant there. 😢

Nothing better than stopping for the crossings. Horse, elk and deer. There is still beauty in those hills. It’s not like it was but it’s still there. ❤

I drove by this site a couple of days after this post was made and I saw teams of workers clearing the site to prevent these materials from washing down the river in the next rain and jamming up the bridges down stream. The FBI says they are looking for a couple who they think started one of the fires . One of them was a fireman looking to earn some overtime (I think) . Who ever posted this thank you.

I’m so sorry for all the hardship your community has endured. I know you guys are tough but It must be so difficult. We’re coming to visit soon and support business. 💔

So broken hearted over all that has happened to my beloved Ruidoso. I have pictures of our family in front of the Adobe Plaza in July 1966. So sad to see this damage. My parents had summer places in Brady Canyon for several years. We have returned almost every year for decades. We will return someday, but now is time for the Village to heal.

That's the same road u pass by to towards the shops in downtown right? I thought the floodings would stop by now so people can at least go visit! This is sad😢

Was the river rerouted at some time to go under the track and thru the infield? I was there a lot in the 60s and there were 2 small lakes in the infield and I don’t think the river passed thru there. I am thinking it was south of the back stretch. I have seen water run across the west end of the track, but I don’t think it was from the river, just runoff from behind the parking area after a hard rain.
